About the Journal

The International Health Trends and Perspectives (IHTP) journal is an academic, double-blind peer reviewed scientific journal housed within the Public Knowledge Project Open Journal Systems at Toronto Metropolitan University in Toronto, Canada.

The IHTP aims to increase dialogue and dissemination of theoretical, empirical, and practical knowledge related to the key topics of health and wellness from around the world. It provides a forum for the dissemination of international health related issues by publishing high quality, original scholarly manuscripts. 

Submissions from researchers, scientists, scholars, and educators of all disciplines are welcomed. Possible topics can include (but are not limited to):  clinical issues, local infrastructure, employment, housing, climate change, viral diseases, immigration, food, sanitation, safety, and security. 

Editorials (discursive articles, comments); original articles (quantitative or qualitative research); reviews (systematic, scoping or integrative reviews, meta-analyses, meta-synthesis); theoretical-conceptual reflections (development of theory); report of experiences (social development projects, innovations in practice), and policy briefs are welcomed.

Respecting international guidelines for good publishing practices, the IHTP follows the the core practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines.

Manuscripts submitted exclusively in English will be double blind peer reviewed and published online.
